During the weekend 12.-14. November we visited our friends Evi and Gerd in Kleinmachnow, who had organized tickets to a concert with Nigel Kennedy!
The first session included swinging variations over the theme ”The Four Seasons” by Vivaldi. The second part of the concert was dedicated the four elements. However, as usual, this was not about what most people expected! A lot of people was taken by surprice, since this was about Jimy Hendix. Great fun and rock and roll, and several people left the concert missing a wonderful event!

The visit also allowed us to catch up on the project of reestablishing Alter Markt, including remodeling of the Altes Rathaus dating back to 1753 (destroyed in 1945 and rebuild in 1966), the Knobeldorf House and the modern annex between both of them, converting the buildings into the future Potsdam Museum. The new Landtag at the Alter Markt also slowly takes shape (se picture above) as does the library for life-long learning!

A new major project includes the expansion of the Havel Shoreline and paths at the Friendship Island including reconstruction of the facade of the Barberini Palace, in addition to construction of the New Synagoge, and reestablishing of the Stadtkanal and Lustgarten. We very much look forward to following the results in the years to come.
